Welcome to The Write Space
The idea for this space began when Stacey was doing her PhD and discovered the many benefits of academic writing retreats. She recognised very quickly how space can influence your productivity levels, and finding the right space is paramount. Stacey and Adam have both worked in various spaces from offices and cafes to trains and planes, writing/work retreats at home and abroad. Each of these experiences have helped shape The Write Space.
Working on a PhD, starting a new business venture, or just trying to run a business is challenging on its own. The hustle and bustle of life can cause us to be distracted, procrastinate, or simply not be able to carve out enough time to focus on what we know needs to be done. So, this space is connected to a shared vision of supporting people in achieving their goals, by providing them with a space over a specific period that ensures balanced and tangible productivity.
What is balanced and tangible productivity?
Tangible productivity is the notion that you will leave The Write Space with something to show for your time. Whether that be completing a grant application, journal article, or business plans, you will leave with results. Equally, we recognise that we are human and can only do so much in an allotted amount of time. It is important to develop realistic goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, and time-bound, and we want to help you set these to maximise your success. We believe that to maximise our productivity levels it is important to do so in a balanced and healthy way. This means that we need to take time to exercise, eat and be social. We believe that by having balance you will also have a clear mind which will increase focus and capacity leading to superior outcomes.
